Exciting Your Lazy Girl Era (Routine Setting)
With 2024 approaching, it’s time to leave any of our lazy girl selves back in 2023. And I’ll be the first to admit that lately, I have been having trouble waking up early. There was a time in college when I woke up at 5 am and felt amazing! Now, I feel so exhausted in the morning. Part of that is because I’m six months pregnant (even tho I am pregnant, I try not to use that as an excuse), but I also can admit that I have not been sticking to a night/morning routine, which is so important. When I think back at moments when I’ve been most productive, one thing those times had in common is I had a strict routine I followed. So I had a strict night routine and a strict morning routine, which is crucial for starting your day off on a great note. If you haven’t already, create a night and morning routine that will set your day up for success that you can actually stick to in 2024. One thing I know for sure is I need to go to bed earlier. I am naturally a night owl, but even I can admit that I get more focused work done at the beginning of my day. Towards the end, I tend to get more distracted, so it is better to use my time to get a good night’s rest and wake up earlier.
Laziness Is A Luxury
One thing I’ve realized lately is that laziness is a luxury. When I think of moments in life when I was working the hardest, it's when I didn’t have an option but to succeed. For example, when attending UC Berkeley, I woke up at 5 am to study all day to do well and excel in my classes. When I first started my nationwide signing service, I was a full-time student, which led to me working 14 hours daily. I had to succeed because I needed to be financially free and aim to pay for my school. (wohoo, no student debt). Through these experiences, I’ve realized that sometimes we get too comfortable, which is a luxury. An example of this can be things like living with our parents and not having to pay rent. Either way, I've learned being comfortable is being in the danger zone. You don’t want to be comfortable. you actually want to continue pushing yourself to get better. Because if you’re not growing, you're drying. So ask yourself right now, what is that goal that is pushing you forward the most right now? Is it having your own business, making a certain amount, or buying a new car… what is it for you, and how can you use that as motivation right now?
Set Yourself Up To Succeed In The New Year
To accomplish your goals for the next year, you must set yourself up to succeed. This means you must create a power routine that you can follow daily to help you get 1% closer to your goals. Another thing I would analyze is any current bad habits you hold. For me, I want to work on waking up earlier, but for others, it can be like drinking too much alcohol, smoking, binge eating, hanging out with loser friends, etc. We all have something we are currently doing that is not helping us reach our goals; it's time to eliminate it slowly and distance yourself to help you level up in 2024. Sometimes, all it comes down to is creating a plan and sticking to it. A lot of the time, the hardest part is just being consistent. I recently posted a video on how to achieve your goals for 2024; you can check it out below. EUR TV
